New law lets husbands sue to stop wives having abortion

- A new Arkansas law will let a husband sue a doctor to stop his wife from getting a particular type of abortion. And it makes no exception for cases of spousal rape. The law, called the Arkansas Unborn Child Protection From Dismemberment Abortion Act, was passed and signed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and goes into effect later this year. It prohibits dismemberment abortion, the most common procedure used in second-trimester abortions. A clause in the law states that the husband of a woman getting the abortion can sue the doctor to stop his wife's abortion. The husband has to be the father of the child. And because there's no exemption in the law for rape or incest, a woman's rapist could theoretically file suit to stop the abortion. The ACLU of Arkansas claims the law is unconstitutional and plans to challenge it in court before it goes into effect. Google is using data to help design the perfect dress

Forget tailoring. Your next dress could be coded. Google ( GOOGL ,  Tech30 ) has teamed up with Ivyrevel, a fashion house backed byH&M Group ( HMRZF ), to create "data dresses" that are customized to fit an individual's daily activities and lifestyle choices. The dress designs will be based on data collected by an Android smartphone app over the course of one week. The app uses "awareness" tools created by Google to gather data on a user's location, physical activity, and the weather when they're outside. The information is then passed through an algorithm that designs a custom dress. The data will completely shape the garment's design -- everything from the choice of materials, to its shape, cut, color, details and embellishments. Ivyrevel said that prices will start at around $99. The data inputs used to design the dress range from location to weather "To get a unique piece of clothing today you need to either buy a custom-made desi...
